you know, i wanna thank whose brilliant idea was it to make the twilight book into a movie coz if not for them, i wouldn’t have known the book existed. even if i knew it existed, i don’t think sitting on the shelf alone is going to convince me to buy it…so thank you, whoever you are.

why i like the book so much? yeah2, i’ll admit. edward cullen IS the perfect being. minus the vampire thing…but WHO CARES!! where on earth can you find a guy THAT perfect?? what girl in their right mind wouldn’t want to be bitten or impregnated by edward cullen??!?!?! ok…that was somewhat disturbing…but you get my point…it’s understandable that all the girls the world over is crazy about this character…but if you really wanna understand what the hype is all about read the books man!! i mean, even ryan seacrest admits, it’s damn addicting…hehe..once you start reading, i doubt it you’ll be able to put it down…

so, let me give you the low down of what the books are all about

well, it’s about a 17-year-old normal teenage girl (bella) who moves to a small town in washington to live with her dad and meets this guy in school who happens to be a 108-year-old vampire (edward) who wants to kill her all the time. they then eventually falls in love with each other and it’s about the trials and tribulations of their relationship…hehe…i can’t tell you everthing…you wanna know what happens next? go buy the books la!! hehe..

anyway, i really admire stephenie meyer’s writing style…the way she wrote it, it seemed almost personal…too personal that is…it’s like reading someone’s diary, not that i had any experience of doing so. plus you can’t even really categorize the books under a certain genre…it’s a love story, yes but it’s not ur everyday normal love story…it’s not boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl and they encounter problems and resolve the problems and they live happily ever after the end kinda love story. it’s completely different. bella has always been contented with her life. she was just extremely ordinary and contented. she liked her life just the way it is. edward has always lived through his life thinking of only 2 things.. to be human….or die…and he’s afraid of the latter coz he’s not sure of what the afterlife means to him…coz he really believes that vampires don’t have souls…these 2 very odd people met and found that they somehow complete each other.that they were born for each other. it’s like they were a 2-piece puzzle. suddenly their life have meaning. especially edward. i mean try living for over a 100 years without any reason or purpose of doing so and you meet someone that stirs something. it’s like a light in a dark tunnel, a breath of fresh air. plus, their relationship goes beyond physical attraction…it’s not even like that…it’s….i can’t even describe how unique this relationship is…

so yeah…i think i’ve said enough….i hope a lot of people would read it coz it’s so uniquely different. there are no words to describe it.
